Cinco de mayo
From Tomísimo
Cinco de Mayo is a holiday celebrated widely in the United States. It commemorates the battle of Puebla in Puebla, Puebla, Mexico, where the Mexicans defeated the French army, halting their invasion of Mexico. Some people wrongly believe it is Mexico's independance day, which is actually September 16th.
