The Romance languages include French, Romanian, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese and are languages descended from Latin, forming the romance family of languages. The romance languages often share common vocabulary and grammatical structures. After learning one of the romance langauges, it is often easier to pick up a second or third one with less trouble, although pronunciation and spelling often vary greatly between the languages.
